January 2010

The 2010 annual exhibition will be held during end May/June. Opening night is likely to be Thursday 27 May. Firm Details later. Anyone wishing to apply for membership must do so by 15 February 2010. See here for details of membership

May 2009

Congratulations to Bohdan and David Long who have been elected to the Watercolour Society of Ireland. You can see their work along with other members’ work at the annual exhibition.

March 2009

The Annual General Meeting of the Society was held at Lisburn Island Arts Centre on 7 March 2009. Outgoing President Ivor Coburn was re-elected for a fourth year. After the meeting Ivor said that he “welcomed the opportunity to build on the success of last year’s annual exhibition”. This year’s exhibition will take place during May at the Old Assembly Rooms, Belfast. Further details about the exhibition are on the exhibitions page.

Selection for new members resulted in thirteen new associate members being elected. They are: Barbara Barrett, Manson Blair, William B Gatt, George Gourley, Dr. Naum Iqbal, Margaret Kent, Tomas King, Jeff Monaghan, Betty McCormack, Brian Owens, David Parkes, Tom Roches and Judy Shinnick
