Barbara trained at the Belfast Art College and Liverpool University. As well as her work in watercolour, she is also a sculptor, with bronze as her favoured medium and has completed many sculptured portraits of personalities such as Walter Love (BBC) and Dick Croft (PPRUA). Her watercolours are painted with fluidity, emphasising feeling and spirit. She exhibits all over Northern Ireland including several years with the RUA and the group shows of the Ulster Society of Women Artists and the Arts Society of Ulster.
