Edna Murray
Belfast
Edna Murray lives in Belfast and has been painting since 1982. After giving up teaching in 1997, she now paints full time and she is currently studying for a Fine Art degree at the University of Ulster. Edna describes herself as a “plein-air” painter, her favourite locations being her native North Antrim Coast, Donegal, East Anglia, and Cumbria. She was Chairman of the Royal Ulster Academy Association from 1992-95 and has been a council member of the Pastel Society of Ireland and the UWS. Edna has exhibited throughout Ireland, including the RHA and RUA and her work is in collections worldwide.
