Jo Tinney was born in the beautiful Irish lakeland county of Fermanagh. Growing up in this environment and making frequent visits as a child to the neighbouring county of Donegal inspired her at an early age to become an artist and paint the wonderful landscape which she saw all around her. She studied for three years at Belfast College of Art and spent a further three years at Manchester University School of Art in England. Jo then came back to Fermanagh and taught Art and Design in Enniskillen Convent Grammar School for seven years. In 1985 she became a full time artist. Her paintings are included in public and private Art Collections all over the world including those of Former Irish Prime Minister, John Bruton TD, Dr Mo Mowlam MP, Van Morrison, Bob Dylan and Former President Clinton. Visitors to Enniskillen are welcome to call at her own Studio / Gallery in The Buttermarket, Enniskillen Town Centre, Co Fermanagh, Ireland. Jo is also a member of the Arts Society of Ulster and the Watercolour Society of Ireland.
