Kate has always been interested in painting and is the third generation of practising artists in her family. While still at school in Kent she was awarded bronze medals from the Royal Drawing Society. Later she studied at the Ruskin in Oxford and the College of Art in Belfast. She is no longer able to exhibit as much as she used to but still paints portraits on commission.
