IMAGES OF CALDRAGH
IN THE TOWNLAND OF DREENAN
BOA ISLAND - COUNTY FERMANAGH
Warm autumn day - late September
Bright Sunshine - Heavy drops of rain
An ancient place
of mystery exudes peace to those who come - in wonder - to touch the Janus face in
Stone
With staring eyes and large carved head emanating power to life above the sleeping
dead
One side facing east - in shadow
The other westward to the sun warm and glowing
red
Gold tipped clouds in deepest blue and lavender
Rise and float above this hallowed
ground
Festooned with briar and bramble moss and ivy leaf
Embedded headstones weathered
in relief
Enclosed by black iron fence - with swinging gate - and perching robin
