William McCarroll

Lurgan

Born in Lurgan, Co. Armagh, William attended Belfast College of Art studying textile design. His early career took him to Switzerland working in the Ernst Graf Design Studio at St. Gallen. On returning to Lurgan he continued in textiles until his early retirement. As a watercolourist in the traditional style his work mostly features city scenes and landscapes but he retains his interest in floral subjects through his garden paintings.
