Yvonne grew up in Londonderry and from childhood had a special love for the Donegal landscape. Her latent talent as an artist surfaced when she was recovering from an accident and was developed through tuition from the late James Watson and Tom Kerr. In 1984 Yvonne became a member of the Ulster Watercolour Society and of the Royal Ulster Academy Association - now renamed the Arts Society of Ulster. She is also a Diploma Holder of the Ulster Society of Women Artists. At present tuition from Rosie McClelland is stimulating Yvonne to explore new approaches to her work. Yvonne has exhibited widely and has had two solo exhibitions - one in Annalong and one in Holywood. She has sold work through the Worldwide Web internationally from America to Singapore ! Yvonne herself has travelled to five continents and has been inspired to paint to the theme "The whole earth is full of God’s Glory".
